1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account on CarbonCred ("the Platform") you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the Platform.

2. What CarbonCred Does

CarbonCred is a climate-fintech platform that rewards users with an internal digital currency called Creditz for verified environmental actions (tree plantation, waste collection, recycling, water conservation, renewable energy, community drives, sustainable farming).

3. Creditz — Nature & Value

• Creditz is a reward token, not a currency, security, or investment product.
• Current redemption rate: 1 Creditz = ₹1 (subject to change based on market conditions and platform economics).
• Creditz has no cash value outside the Platform except through the official cash-out mechanism.
• We reserve the right to adjust reward rates, expiry, and redemption rules with 30 days notice.

4. Eco-Action Submissions

You warrant that every photo, GPS location, and description you submit is:

• Original, taken by you, and represents a real environmental action you performed.
• Not previously submitted (no duplicates across accounts).
• Free of misleading edits, stock imagery, or AI-generated content.

Fraudulent submissions result in Creditz forfeiture, account suspension, and possible legal action.

5. Verification

Submissions are reviewed by our AI verification system and, where applicable, human verifiers from partner NGOs. Verification decisions are final. We may re-audit approved actions and reclaim Creditz if fraud is later detected.

6. Marketplace

The Carbon Marketplace facilitates peer-to-peer trading of verified carbon credit listings. CarbonCred is a marketplace facilitator, not a counterparty. Verification standards (Verra VCS, Gold Standard) are provided by third parties and we are not responsible for their integrity.

7. Payments & Cash-Outs

• Buying Creditz is processed by Razorpay. Refunds are governed by Razorpay's policies.
• Cash-outs (Creditz → INR) are subject to KYC verification and manual admin approval. Minimum ₹50, maximum ₹1,00,000 per transaction.
• Cash-out processing time: 24 – 48 hours.
• TDS and other applicable taxes are your responsibility.

8. Account Suspension

We may suspend accounts for fraud, abuse, spam, harassment, or breach of these Terms. Locked Creditz may be forfeited without refund.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Platform is provided "as is" without warranties. Carbon offset estimates are indicative and not legally certified emission reductions.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CarbonCred is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Total liability is capped at the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Guwahati, Assam.
